As a South West based PR agency with clients in various sectors including events, racing and weddings, 2020 might understandably be seen as a tough one. However, this pandemic has certainly made us become even more creative and adaptable, pushing us to think outside the box! The sudden change in circumstances was met by our client, Barny Lee Marquees. They had contracted us to work for them just before Lockdown #1 and we were able to completely revise our planned activity so we could be more even more creative. The results enabled our client to move forwards at a time when many other businesses were playing it very safe.
The company is owned by Barny and Emily Lee who have been creating magical event spaces for over 17 years. In 2016 they launched a successful luxury glamping site at Glastonbury Festival. Then later in 2019 debuted the first luxury glamping site at Badminton Horse Trials – the Badminton Retreat.
How did we help?
We were appointed to manage their social media platforms. But with Covid-19 putting a stop to event activity we reacted to the changes affecting us all. We were soon supporting on different aspects of the company’s communications. Through various online and editorial media features, blogs and increasing their social media reach by 140%.
Barny said, “Coate PR has been fantastic at promoting all aspects of marketing and PR for our businesses in these tough times. We thought it was important to keep all communications moving forwards in order to build on past and future relations with clients. The team have worked hard to make this happen with some great positive results.”
Despite the present uncertainty, it’s crucial now more than ever to keep communicating. The past 10 months of restrictions and lockdowns even gave us the time to refresh our logo and website. This has helped to develop our brand and attract new clients!
Stay safe everyone.
