We are really excited to be celebrating our client’s 50 days to go milestone. The Game Fair is the UK’s biggest festival of the countryside and is expected to receive over 120,000 visitors to the Blenheim Palace Estate during the last weekend in July.
There truly is something for everyone at this show which, on the one hand, is a celebration of all things countryside, but on the other is a serious talking shop for CEO’s, politicians and opinion formers on the real issues that affect the countryside and all the communities involved. Go to the Carter Jonas Game Fair Theatre where host Charlie Jacoby from Fieldsports Channel interviews an array of guests on stage to find out more.
Whatever your countryside interest is, you will be well catered for at The Game Fair. Field sports are represented across the board from fly fishing to gundog competitions, clay shooting to ferret racing and much, much more. If you’re not the competing type but would like to just have a go – there are plenty of opportunities to try out new skills. You do have to book ahead but who knows, you might just be an Annie Oakley in disguise. Click here to book.
If you’re more into shopping than shooting, then you have a plethora of possibilities. There are more than 500 trade stands at The Game Fair and you can pretty much buy anything from a hounds-tooth check jacket to a house. Visit some of the top country brands on stands that will surprise and delight in more ways than one.
Don’t forget the food! The Game Fair is well known for supporting artisan, local food producers and the additional space on the site at Blenheim Palace gives an opportunity to welcome even more with a Totally Food area which will stretch your wildest dreams of what a Farm Shop could be. Rest assured you won’t go hungry, and you will almost certainly discover something new to take home and savour. The BASC Wild Food Theatre is also not to be missed. Here you can see some of Britain’s top game chefs such as JB Gill, Jose Souto and Suki Pantal and more in action giving live cookery demonstrations. It’s a place where cooking secrets will be shared and you’ll learn some new skills and be inspired with recipes to try at home.
There are, of course, plenty of celebrities making an appearance. In addition to celebrity chef James Martin hosting the ever-popular VIP Enclosure, sponsored by Investec Wealth & Investment (UK), which promises a gastronomic experience not to be forgotten, James will be joined on Sunday 28 July by renowned television personalities and stars of the beloved series ‘Escape to the Chateau’ Dick and Angel Strawbridge. Co-hosting with James, they will bring their very own charm and expertise to proceedings. Celebrity barman Merlin Griffiths will also be shaking things up on the bar showcasing his two cocktails created exclusively for the event, a Rose Garden Spritz and Devil-May-Care.
Tickets for The Game Fair and Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platinum packages for the VIP Enclosure, sponsored by Investec Wealth & Investment (UK) can be purchased from the box office at thegamefair.org. Don’t forget, if you are a BASC member you get complimentary entry to all three days of the event and will be able to purchase guest tickets at a discounted rate.
